I was inspired to take these photos after seeing the white flowers on the tree in my yard. I placed them on the table but the photo felt a little plain so I sliced a lemon. I thought the lemon made the photo look very fresh and springy. I had trouble finding creative ways to arrange the objects. In the end, I got all of my photos with the blossoms and the lemons.

read all over
I saw my dads glasses laying on the wooden table and thought they looked very nice. To stick to the theme of reading I added in a copy of the New York times. I flipped to the arts and leisure because it had a pop of red on the cover that stood out in the photo. I later arranged the newspapers to create a sort of frame around the glasses. I had some trouble with light but arranged the objects on the end of the table so the window light shined in.

vacant fruit bowl
I was inspired by the variety of colors in the fruit bowl. Every time I hear still life I think of a bowl of fruit so I tried to do something more creative. I neatly arranged the fruit so it surrounded the bowl instead of resting inside of it. Even though it contains vegetables it is still a bowl of fruits. I arranged them on a wooden table to contrast the neutral background with the bright colors.

I went into my yard and pulled up whatever flowers were pink or purple that had bloomed. I arranged them on a white piece of paper outside to get the shadows on the flowers. I arranged them in different ways to focus on different plants. At one point I got close to the dandelions to highlight the detail. The bleeding hearts created very interesting shadows that I played with

upside down
I was inspired by the marble counter and the shiny glass together. To add movement in the photo I poured and splashed water into the glasses. I moved the glasses into different positions to get different reflections. In the second photo the moving water makes the glass look as though it is bending which is almost surreal. The only challenge was cleaning the counter in the end.
